Save The Children

Stories make the world go round and we borrow the best from the world of theatre to tell stories. Private Drama Events partnered again with Save the Children to produce the annual Winter Gala, the chance to step into a magical children’s story for the night, to raise as much money as possible to save children’s lives around the world.

We designed a Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe story-led experience. Guests entered the world of Narnia through a giant wardrobe and then found themselves in a snowy forest of fir trees. The great hall was transformed into the spectacular castle of Cair Paravel with Save the Children ambassador Joely Richardson assisting the fund raising as the White Witch and the cast from the West End production of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Held at the Guildhall, with Bubble Food, and attended by 300 guests including high profile supporters Poppy Delevingne, Isla Fisher, Ben Fogle, Myleene Klass and Laura Bailey, the evening raised an incredible £1.1 million.

Private Drama devised and produced the content creation, set design, staging and production.
